Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a senior Canadian crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company.
We are focused on long-term growth through an aggressive exploration, development, and acquisition
program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
We are currently seeking a Facility Construction Engineering Intern Student to join our Calgary office.
The facilities team is focused on building all surface assets for Tourmaline including Wellsite’s, Pipelines,
Gas Plants and Batteries. This is a term position beginning in May 2026 and running for approximately
sixteen months.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completing third or fourth year of an engineering degree program (chemical, mechanical, Energy,

and Petroleum/Oil & Gas disciplines preferred)

  • Previous experience in oil and gas / regulatory is an asset but not required.
  • Ability to think strategically and logically.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Positive and upbeat attitude.
  • Well-spoken and professional.
  • Takes pride and ownership in their work.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following duties but not be limited to:

  • Maintain a professional relationship with Tourmaline contractors and staff ensuring alignment with

the Tourmaline Code of Conduct, ensuring no conflict of interest is present in the relationship.

  • Update, create and maintain project data in internal systems (project inventory, AFE, regulatory and

reporting)

  • Kickoff and review of project documentation for accuracy with support of project manager. This

includes but not limited to:
o Surveys & plot plans

o Environmental and Archeology reports

  • Review EPC’s documentation for accuracy with support of Project Manager

o Review DBM’s, IFA, IFC, as-built drawings

o Final construction package documentation

  • Manage Regulatory requirements with support of Project Manager
  • Planning, executing and closing out Facilities Construction projects with support of Project Manager

o Organizing construction schedules and planning procurement for upcoming projects
o Managing execution including cost, schedule and safety

o Complete project closeout documentation package and lessons learned / project lookbacks

  • Work with all of Tourmalines multidisciplinary teams, including subsurface, D&C, planning on future

project development

  • Travel to field operations for site visits and meetings at a bi-monthly frequency

and Petroleum/Oil & Gas disciplines preferred)
