FACILITY COORDINATOR (ZOETERMEER – FULLTIME)

This role is part of our Specialized Nutrition factory located in Zoetermeer. In this factory (with over 600 Danoners) we produce specialized liquid medical nutrition contributing to the well-being of vulnerable target groups (infants, elderly and sick) in over 55 countries.
The Facility Coordinator reports to the Facility, Building and Utility Manager, who is part of the technical team and is responsible for the coordination of various facility services. The following areas of attention fall within the responsibility of this role: waste management, archiving, security (incl. access control & CCTV), catering (incl. fruit), rolling stock, office maintenance (incl. removals), coffee machines (incl. vending and food machines), pest control, mail service, cleaning, grounds and garden maintenance, reception and work clothing, furniture and PPE. The central organization has set frameworks and criteria within which the facility policy and plans must take shape. The Facility Services Coordinator manages 2 of its own employees and approximately 16 external employees. The various functions in the department are Facility Services Coordinator, Facility Services Employee, Security Employee, Catering Employees and Receptionists.

You are expected to provide day to day coordination, supervision and leadership in order to secure quality and effectiveness of the facility team and the onsite suppliers and their maintenance personnel within your remit. You will lead small scale facility improvement projects for the plant, from initial scoping of innovations/concepts through to CAPEX project implementation & execution. For pest control and waste management compliance to governmental compliances, site PRP & GMP standards is essential. From this position within Nutricia’s Supply Point you will be responsible for:

  • Management, coordination and coaching of facility team members;
  • Management of contractors on operational and tactical level;
  • Creation/ follow-up of the maintenance plans;
  • Responsibility to ensure that areas are audit ready at all times, and are compliant with the relevant corporate and regulatory standards (legal, AIB, Danone safety/ quality);
  • Keeping documentation/ standards up to date, act as a controller/ approver on changes (utility drawings);
  • Pro-actively looking for improvements and assess the future requirements;
  • Manage Maintenance budget within our budget control system;
  • Aligns, be a counterpart, with all relevant stakeholders (internally g. department heads, HSE and external technical companies) for facility related questions, evaluation and processing into actions or offers;
  • Participate, process and follow-up shortcomings resulting from audits of various authorities and regulations.

About you

  • Work and thinking level MBO+/ HBO with a facility background;
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a high volume fast paced environment in FMCG, Manufacturing, or Pharmaceutical, with preferably a facility background;
  • Experience with managing people;
  • Knowledge of GMP and PRP;
  • Experience with SLA checks, contract management and inventory management;
  • Experience with Food Security, Food defence and Food fraud is a plus;
  • Technical knowhow is a plus;
  • ERT/EHBO is a plus;
  • You are proactive & autonomous, can communicate on different levels, and your organizational skills are well developed;
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch which is a must!
