Job Summary: The Facility Maintenance Assistant will assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining all warehouse equipment and the building itself. Responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures. Performs equipment failure analysis to complete preventive and unscheduled maintenance. Reports to the Facilities Maintenance Manager. Requirements Duties/Responsibilities: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Track all work using written work orders Assist with the installation of various pieces of equipment throughout the building Maintains, services, and conducts minor repairs on building and equipment Performs a variety of semiskilled duties in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting Comply with established safety guidelines and procedures Assists various departments with assigned tasks Execute any other assigned duties promptly and effectively Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to prioritize tasks Adaptability to thrive in a high-paced, occasionally stressful environment. Flexibility to adjust to production and project requirements Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school background preferred. Previous experience in facility mechanical and/or electrical work Forklift License, or willing and able to obtain on-site Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Willing to work indoors/outdoors and in hot/cold conditions The environment could require bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, heavy lifting, climbing stairs or ladders, and working in high or confined spaces
