Description Works under normal supervision of the Maintenance Supervisors assisting in general maintenance duties. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the lead HVAC Tech in all aspects of existing and new installation systems Assist in all aspects of maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, painting and including repairs and new construction projects Mowing, weed-eating, fertilizing, planting, pruning, mulching, and watering of Ministry Property Assist in changing light bulbs and filters Assist Transportation in running errands for various departments in the ministry Assist the lead in welding projects Assist in all machine and mechanical equipment job requirements Operate heavy duty equipment. Maintenance of landscape equipment. Repair and maintenance irrigation systems. Recognize and diagnose problems and apply appropriate chemicals as needed. Miscellaneous labor (such as cleaning porches, walkways, driveways, garages, softffits, trash removal, etc.) Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Physical ability to perform manual labor Excellent knowledge of all aspects of maintenance procedures Must have clear status driving record Hardworking, self-motivated, able to take instruction but also able to ask questions when unsure Must be able to work outdoors most of the day EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Various tools and equipment including hammers, saws, sanders, ladders, drills, power tools, nail guns TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Able to lift 75 to 100 pounds, must have good balance for working on ladders Must be able to work in all extremes of temperature and weather for Texas summer Must be able to participate in long periods of physical activity associated with the construction industry TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS: Must always be safety conscious Must be able to do basic math Produce quality work and accept changes in production and timelines Must be a team player and maintain a good attitude WORKING CONDITIONS: Indoors and outdoors OTHER: Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions Must maintain a good attendance record Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills Ability to work with people of all cultures
