Context: Under the overall supervision of the Comptroller and Director of Financial and Administrative and the direct supervision of the Head, Global Facilities Management Unit, the Facility Management Officer will provide technical, administrative and process-related support for the establishment and maintenance of global standards and best practices, focusing on the operational nuances and efficiency of facility management across IOM offices. The incumbent will play a key role in mapping and documenting all IOM premises globally, using collected data to produce comprehensive facility inventories, gathering, analysing, and generating facility management statistics—such as occupancy rates, space utilization, maintenance schedules, lease agreement conditions and deadlines, and sustainability metrics—to assist in informing decision-making and encouraging data-driven improvements. The position provides guidance and support to field offices by explaining and communicating policy updates, facilitating the implementation of new guidelines, and offering specific information on compliance with organizational standards.
