Description

Harbor House Collective is a vertically integrated cannabis company producing premium flower, extracts, and infused products from our cutting-edge 34,000 sq ft facility in Chelsea, MA. Our operation includes 9 flowering rooms (20,000 sq ft of canopy), a C1D1 hydrocarbon extraction lab, solventless cold room, commercial kitchen, retail store, and corporate offices, all under one roof. We are committed to delivering top-tier cannabis products through operational excellence and full-spectrum in-house control.
  The Facility & Project Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for keeping all facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure running smoothly to support consistent, high-quality production. This role combines facilities oversight with project coordination, ensuring critical systems are maintained, issues are resolved quickly, and projects are executed on time to minimize downtime and support production flow across all departments.
This individual will be on the floor daily. inspecting and repairing equipment, tracking tasks, coordinating repairs, and making sure everything from flowering rooms to extraction labs to packaging areas are functioning efficiently and safely.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3–7 years of hands-on facilities or operations experience in a regulated environment
  • Proven ability to manage maintenance tasks, troubleshoot facility systems, and lead operational projects from start to finish.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and mechanical equipment in a production or cultivation environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a “get it done” attitude.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, task trackers, and basic project management software.

Preferred:

  • Cannabis industry experience, especially in cultivation, extraction, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with C1D1 compliance, cleanroom standards, or solventless extraction infrastructure.
  • OSHA or GMP training.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

  • All facility systems are well-maintained, with minimal unplanned downtime.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all critical systems (HVAC, irrigation, lighting, air filtration, electrical, plumbing) are operating effectively and reliably.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and equipment servicing schedules; track work orders and document all activities.
  • Act as first response for urgent facility or equipment issues, working with internal teams and vendors as needed to resolve them quickly.
  • Maintain C1D1 lab, cold room, and kitchen in optimal operating condition, in compliance with safety and code requirements.
  • Production Support
  • Work with cultivation, extraction, kitchen, post-harvest, retail and packaging teams to understand daily production needs and support operational flow.
  • Proactively remove facility-based obstacles that could delay production, such as malfunctioning HVAC units, environmental control issues, or lighting failures.
  • Set up, reconfigure, repair or troubleshoot work areas and equipment as production needs shift.
  • Project Management & Execution
  • Plan and lead small to medium-sized facility improvement or expansion projects, equipment installations, layout reconfigurations, room build-outs, etc.
  • Develop timelines, task lists, and resource plans; ensure timely execution with minimal production disruption.
  • Coordinate external contractors or specialists and ensure work aligns with building standards and regulatory compliance.

  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, fire code, and state cannabis regulations related to facility safety and cleanliness.
  • Maintain up-to-date safety logs, equipment records, and maintenance documentation.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and readiness for compliance checks.
  • Communication & Reporting
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on facility performance, active projects, and maintenance metrics.
  • Keep internal stakeholders informed of outages, scheduled repairs, or changes that may impact operations.
  • Use project tracking tools and facility logs to maintain clear, actionable records.
