OVERVIEW PURPOSE OF JOB: To conduct and ensure compliance of the facility cargo screening program by following the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulatory requirements for a Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF). RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Ensure all cargo screeners and cargo screening supervisors are properly trained and have completed all required training (initial and recurring) and provide proof to the TSA upon request 2. Conduct a written or electronic file assessment outlining the occurrence of screening issues including detailed reports on circumstances and resolutions3. Conduct daily check of cargo screening logs to verify all required information is documented4. Conduct daily comparison of cargo screening logs with airway bills to verify all cargo was tendered and screened5. Ensure cargo screeners do not conduct more than 60 minutes of continuous visual examination of x-ray of images 6. Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) footage of cargo screening for a minimum of three (3) hours of random time periods7. Conduct weekly internal audits at least two (2) times and unannounced inspections of each Designated Screening Area (DSA)8. Coordinate monthly audits with independent auditor and retain all items for record keeping purposes9. Conduct physical monitoring of the DSA and cargo screening operations during a CCTV equipment failure10. Record any failure of CCTV equipment in the CCTV maintenance log for TSA record keeping purposes and report to management BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: List any required educational attainments (degrees, certificates, licenses, etc.): High School diploma or equivalent. List any required skills (computer, machinery, typing, etc.): Electronics, office software applications, typing, record keeping, auditing, and regulatory compliance. List any required special attributes (ability to move/pick-up certain weight capacity, personality traits, certain aptitudes, etc.):Professionalism and strong leadership. Exceptional team player who can also work independently. List any required experience (of what type, for what duration, in what industry, etc.): Security, technical, and logistical.
