Facility Security Officer (Part Time) ***THIS IS NOT A SECURITY GUARD POSITION***   Summary  Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) in Gilbert, AZ is looking for an experienced Facility Security Officer (FSO). The FSO is a specialized position for supervising, managing and administering the DoD or other government security programs at ATSC. They are responsible for ensuring compliance to the corporate and government security policies and for the safety and security of ATSC personnel, materials, and classified or confidential business documents. The FSO will process and review all security clearances and maintain all facility security documentation in accordance with government requirements.   The FSO will have detailed familiarity with the NISPOM and the security requirements for DoD and other Federal agencies.   Essential Responsibilities  * Interpret government requirements to maintain and administer a compliant security management plan  * Maintain all facility security documentation in accordance with DSS requirements * Administrate all facets of our personnel security clearance process * Develop and maintain a Document Inventory and Control program for all classified and sensitive information * Liaison with local First Responders, DSS and other federal security agencies * Implement facility controls for access to prohibited areas * Lead the facility orientation and response to security emergencies * Supervise and manage the security of all ATSC facilities * Maintain security procedures  * Provide and document security training for all employees  * Provide and document security exit briefings to all former employees * Serve as primary point of contact for alarm notifications * Manage badge and access control identification systems * Periodically review compliance logs for all controlled access areas * Responsible for controlling safe combinations, cypher codes, alarm codes for IDS system * Investigate, report and specify corrective actions for security incidents * Apprise ownership/leadership of status of security operations and developments Required Qualifications  * BA required, masters preferred, * 2-4 years’ experience in Industrial Security is required * Computer proficient * Knowledge of DOD security systems * Previous FSO training/certification from DSS * Familiarity with NISPOM required * Knowledge of Intrusion Detection System * Must be able to obtain and maintain government security clearance. * U.S. Citizenship is required   Physical Demands & Work Environment  * Work is performed in an office setting * While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see * May occasionally be required to life moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday * Must be able to read, write and speak English  All job requirements in the job description provided indicate the minimum level of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities deemed necessary to perform the job competently.
