POSITION SUMMARY

The Facility Security Officer has overall responsibility and accountability for the efficient and productive operation of security and acts as the primarily liaison with government security personnel.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years serving as Facility Security Officer for DOD and IC Community
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Experience with Insider Threat Programs
  • Experience working in a SCIF environment
  • Experience handling storage of classified documents
Responsibilities
  • Security Administration
  • Evaluate and supervise security operations, inclusive of physical security assets and personnel.
  • Ensures that security processes, procedures and instructions are developed and maintained in strict accordance with the clients’ physical and personal security requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with any and all Federal laws, orders, or directors with respect to security.
  • Manage day-to day operations of the following: personnel clearance processing, nominations tracking, indoctrinations, reporting, debriefs, and periodic use of personnel clearance data systems.
  • Coordinate with IT Security personnel to ensure IT system security plans are adequate, review system-related security plans and both company and client IT and security organizations.
  • Prepare reports and records for management team as needed.
  • Evaluate current procedures, practices and precedents for accomplishing EKFox’s obligations and functions as it relates to our facility clearances.
  • Perform audits of security related to project performance and conducts physical surveys of premise security.
  • Manage generation, submission to the cognizant client, and ongoing maintenance of personal security clearances and accesses.
  • Implement and manage security training, both required and identified needs.
  • Orient all new hires to security procedures and operations, including the management of facility keys and access cards.
  • Coordinates the travel security program.
  • Conducts and adjudicates security incidents.
  • Monitors compliance with information security policies and procedures.
  • Actively fosters positive and productive working relationships with client and subcontractor/consultant security counterparts.
