Description Facility Security Officer The Ascendancy Group’s Mission To be the unequaled provider of Department of War (DOW) and Intelligence Community focused technical, service, and training-based solutions. Opportunity Join the highly skilled team at TAG Headquarters to provide facility security support to a rapidly growing organization. Overview As a TAG entry-level Facility Security Officer, you will be responsible for all security matters while developing, implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures in compliance with regulations and laws. Security Requirement: US Citizenship Active SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government TOP SECRET security clearance. Roles and Responsibilities: Maintain knowledge of security trends, best practices, and regulatory changes. Perform facility and personnel security functions in accordance with the National Industrial Security Procedures Operating Manual (NISPOM). Perform access control responsibilities including managing badges, access cards and visit requests, as required. Perform initial personnel clearance submissions, periodic reinvestigations, and provide guidance and instruction to staff to ensure proper completion of security paperwork. Maintain employee personnel files, audits for accuracy. Communicate with employees and leadership on security efforts. Review, administer, track, and document compliance with mandatory security training. Maintain effective inventory and control program for management of classified documents. Prepare and receive classified transmittals in accordance with NISPOM guidelines and requirements. Prepare documentation in support of annual self-inspections and DCSA audits. Advise personnel of their reporting requirements, both personal/administrative and compliance/violation/incident-related reports and investigate and report as required. Assist in general office administration at The Ascendancy Group HQ. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent Commitment to complete mandatory training (DCSA Facility Security Officer (FSO) Program Management for Possessing Facilities Certification Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Proven time management skills with ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, DISS, and NISS preferred. 4-10 years of Department of War and/or SOF enterprise experience.
