REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

  • At least 16 years of age.
  • If 18 or older, a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to attend work.
  • Ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
  • Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Salary: Part Time $11.50-$12.00 hourly
Hours Available: Varies due to programming and camp needs.

Responsibilities

The Camp Potawotami YMCA is seeking a responsible and attentive part-time Facility Support Assistant person to join our team to perform janitorial duties (ie. bathrooms, windows, floors, trash, detail cleaning, etc.) that maintain a clean environment and freshly stocked facility.

  • Transform: Clean and sanitize locker rooms and other assigned areas of the building. Clean and maintain floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
  • Care: Perform various duties such as dusting, vacuuming, laundry, reporting mechanical issues, snow removal, and maintaining entrances and staff offices.
  • Build: As a member of the maintenance team you should build relationships with members, support all staff, be positive, friendly, and helpful
