Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Facility Technician / Electrician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of our ship breaking facility. This position is responsible for maintaining all electrical systems, coordinating facility repairs, and ensuring equipment and building operations remain safe and operational at all times. Essential Responsibilities * Maintain and repair facility electrical systems, equipment, lighting, and power distribution. * Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform preventative maintenance. * Coordinate and oversee facility repairs including water leaks, plumbing issues, electrical repairs, and general building maintenance. * Ensure facility operations comply with safety standards and company policies. * Inspect facility equipment and systems to identify maintenance needs. * Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors when necessary. * Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and inspection reports. * Respond quickly to emergency maintenance situations. * Assist with maintaining a safe and organized work environment. * Support operational departments with facility-related needs. * Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and electrical materials. * Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are completed efficiently and timely.   Qualifications * High school diploma or GED required. * Previous experience in industrial maintenance, facility maintenance, or electrical work required. * Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and industrial maintenance practices. * Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics preferred. * Experience operating hand and power tools safely. * Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Experience in industrial, marine, shipyard, or heavy equipment environments preferred.
