Your Role: The Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and well-functioning facilities. This role supports daily operations by performing preventive maintenance, responding to repair requests, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Diagnose and repair facility-related issues such as lighting, fixtures, doors, walls, flooring, and general infrastructure. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs. Maintain and repair tools, equipment, and machinery. Monitor building automation systems (BAS) and ensure optimal operation. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and service records. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors when necessary. Support facility upgrades, renovations, and improvement projects. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (Technical certification preferred). 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or related field. Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to use hand and power tools safely. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environmental conditions. Preferred Qualifications: Trade certification (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.). Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS). OSHA safety certification. Forklift or scissor lift certification. Work Environment Ability to lift 50 pounds, sit for long drive, squat, stoop, climb ladders, and carry materials and tools Indoor and outdoor work environments. May require working at heights or confined spaces. On-call availability for emergencies (if applicable). Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting.
