LOCATIONS Petaling Jaya REPORTING TO Facilities Manager WORKING HOURS Monday – Friday (8.30am-5.30pm) Sat: 9am-1pm OVERVIEW A Facility Technician maintains and repairs a facility's physical infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, to ensure a safe, functional, and efficient environment. Key duties involve performing routine inspections, diagnosing issues, carrying out repairs on equipment and systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Perform regular checks on facilities and equipment to identify potential problems and schedule necessary repairs. Oversee the maintenance and functioning of building systems like heating, air conditioning, lighting, and water systems. Complete a variety of general repair tasks, including carpentry, painting, and equipment maintenance. Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to relevant safety regulations and standards. Maintain records of maintenance activities and prepare reports as needed. Perform Preventive Maintenance as per the 52 Weeks PM Calender Monitor contractors work, verify and sign the service report KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES Uninterrupted site operations 100% compliance of site to key client and internal audits Meet or exceed Client Satisfaction survey targets Ensure 100% safety and regulatory compliance Continuously improving service Vendor Management and Excellent Reporting EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS KEY COMPETENCIES Technical Aptitude: A strong ability to work with and understand various technical equipment and systems. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent ability to diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and find effective solutions. Customer Service: Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively assist customers and store staff. Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain meticulous records. Physical Fitness: Stamina and the ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting or working in various store environments. Flexibility: Adaptability to a variety of tasks and changing work environments. Basic Computer Skills: For record-keeping, inventory management, and using relevant software. Technical Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues. Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with building systems and equipment. Tool Proficiency: Experience using various hand tools and equipment for repairs. Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety procedures and practices. Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, facility managers, and other department Ability to read and digest electrical and mechanical schematic diagram. QUALIFICATION Vocational Certificate/Diploma/SKM in Engineering studies Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in facilities repairs work or building operations with knowledge of maintenance and services.
