Description

We are seeking an experienced Factory accountant to join our growing team.
You will be responsible for managing the financial records, transactions, stock value reports in a timely and accurate accounting, payroll and other accountancy services.
This is a key role within a small company that requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency in various accounting software such as Xero, Netsuite and other packages. Must have a background of working in the food manufacturing industry.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in Accountancy role
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA or Part Qualified AAT
  • At least 3+ years of general practice experience
  • Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Netsuite, Microsoft Package etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations
  • Managing monthly Payroll
  • Inputting all payments, receipts, purchase and sales invoices into accounting software
  • Carrying out reconciliations of the bank and primary control accounts including PAYE, VAT, trade debtors and trade creditors
  • Chasing outstanding debt and reducing debtor days
  • Managing VAT returns, checking and submission to HMRC.
  • Prepare Year End Accounts
  • Ad hoc requests regarding factory finances where applicable
  • Assist with the client on-boarding process
