Description

NextStar Energy (NSE) is an innovative joint venture company between LG and Stellantis. It will be Canada’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production plant when it begins production at the Twin Oaks site in Windsor, Ontario. The manufacturing facility will have an annual targeted production capacity in excess of 49 gigawatt hours and will create an estimated 2,500 new jobs in Windsor and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking a highly skilled Factory Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for Pre-Start Health and Safety Review (PSR) Processes of FA equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of factory automation equipment and manufacturing production system (CIM/MCS).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical or relevant Engineering is required.
  • 3+ Year work experience in manufacturing industry with FA equipment such as CV, Robots, BCR, Lift, HMI, AGV, etc) is required.
  • Experienced and understand Simens PLC F-signature, CRC Code, and others (TIA Portal).
  • Understanding of PSR process.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of ESA, CEC code(Ver.2018~), CSA and other safety regulations.
  • Familiar with Microsoft work tools (PPT, Excel, Word, Teams).
  • Read and understand Electrical drawing professionally.
  • Project management of equipment installation (Scheduling, Coordination with OEMs and Contractors)
  • Proactive communication attitude.
  • Clean room work experience
  • English proficiency and communication skill with Korean OEM
  • Notable achievements such as awards in technical competitions or other unique experiences (if applicable)
