Job Summary:As a Planner you will be responsible for:Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work with Customer Service and Operations to plan, develop and establish production schedules to meet customer demands.
  • Monitor the manufacturing schedule throughout the week/month and anticipate possible changes as needed due to manufacturing errors, equipment failure, resource constraints (material, labor, etc.)
  • Coordinate with the production teams to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Address any scheduling conflicts or issues that arise, finding solutions to keep orders on track.
  • Coordinate with buyers, production, quality, customer service, and shipping to maintain service level goals
  • Provide leadership support/role in Daily/Weekly Planning meetings.
  • Generate capacity plans for applicable manufacturing cells.
  • Monitor critical orders. Engage purchasing as necessary.
  • Communicate schedules and changes to schedules to appropriate groups. Update necessary spreadsheets/reports accordingly. Elevate issues to upper management as appropriate.
  • Maintain production schedule tools/reports ensuring data is current and easily communicated.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Inventory teams to make sure materials needed are available to prevent shortages/order delays.
  • Serve as the point of contact for scheduling-related inquiries, providing updates and addressing any concerns from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Update/Maintain POR report weekly and generate any needed stock order.
  • Ensure that orders are scheduled in accordingly to weekly posted lead times.
  • Routine clerical duties to support department activities.
  • Routine administrative duties to support the production facilities.
  • Manage special projects and continuous improvement activities.
  • Elevate issues to supervisor as appropriate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years of experience in Production Control and/or Scheduling/Planning in addition to meeting the following requirements:
  • Experience MRP processes, shop floor scheduling techniques, and capacity planning.
  • Ability to establish priorities and work independently.
  • Proficient computer skills: MS Office suite
  • Proven experience in production planning, or a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate well with people having different ethnic, social, or educational backgrounds; understand the cultural differences of different groups.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
