Factory Hand / Manufacturing Assistant

Metwall Pty Ltd is a local manufacturing company specialising in quality metal garden edging, planter boxes and custom metal products.

We are looking for a reliable, punctual and hardworking Factory Hand / Manufacturing Assistant to join our team in Burleigh Heads.

This is a casual position offering approximately 40 hours per week, including some Saturday morning work. Ongoing work is available for the right person.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position involving manufacturing, order picking, stock control, assembly and customer service.

Your duties will include:

• Picking and preparing customer orders
• Picking parts and materials for manufacturing
• Stock inventory control and maintaining accurate stock levels
• Manufacturing and assembling metal products
• Operating sheet metal equipment (training provided)
• Measuring, cutting and preparing materials
• Packing and preparing completed products
• Assisting with general factory and production duties
• Providing friendly customer service when required
• Keeping the factory clean, organised and safe

• Hands-on and practical
• Able to follow instructions and work independently
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment
• Friendly and confident when dealing with customers
• Willing to learn new skills and manufacturing processes
• Available to work Saturday mornings when required
• Have reliable transport to and from our Burleigh Heads factory

A current forklift licence will be highly regarded.

Previous experience in manufacturing, metalwork, warehousing, factory work or assembly is advantageous, but training will be provided to the right person.

About the role:

Adroit Piping Systems is currently seeking candidates who are keen to learn, be a team player and most of all be reliable, driven and hardworking.

We require people who are seeking consistent work and are invested in their own development.

This role is in our manufacturing division operating and monitoring a range of 5-6 different machines, this can vary from week to week. Job would be starting on casual but be put on Full-time position long term, after 6 months probation. We offer positions on Morning, Afternoon & Night Shift's, on-going roles / training and up-skilling, a strong focus on your safety and we encourage and like to hear suggestions/ideas from our staff.

Company does complimentary daily tea, coffee and monthly Barbeque and drinks for all staff.

Shift Times are as follows:

Morning Shift - 6am to 2pm

Break times on all shift 10min paid break and 30min unpaid lunch break.

About you:

You will be available Monday to Friday with some OT work as required, you will be reliable, hardworking and have a strong understanding of your job requirements and safety responsibilities. You will also possess the following skills and licenses:

Preferably current drivers License with own reliable transport

Attention to detail

Forklift License is desirable

Punctual
