We’re Vision Solutions Glass & Aluminium – the go-to crew for top-notch AWS windows and doors on the Sunshine Coast. We’re a tight team that takes pride in making, moving, and installing some of the best aluminium frames you’ve ever laid eyes on. Our quality is sharp, our standards are high, and our jokes are average at best.
With a brand-new factory opening in Chevallum this October, we’re gearing up – and we need a switched-on, hands-on Factory Hand to help us keep the quality rolling.
What You’ll Be Doing (AKA, Not Just Sweeping the Floor)
Helping build high-end aluminium windows and doors that actually fit.
Operating saws, drills, and other factory gear without breaking them (or yourself).
Measuring, cutting, prepping and assembling aluminium like a pro.
Helping with fit-off – joinery, glazing beads, seals, rollers, latches, you name it.
Helping with deliveries – loading up, tying down, and heading out in a Vision Solutions vehicle.
Lifting and moving heavy gear – safely and with teamwork (no heroes).
Making sure everything gets where it needs to go in one piece.
Doing quality checks so nothing leaves the shop looking rough.
Keeping the workspace clean, organised, and non-chaotic.
What You Bring to the Table:
✅ A current manual driver’s licence (open class)
✅ A can-do attitude and strong work ethic
✅ Experience working with aluminium, glass, or in a factory environment (massive bonus)
✅ Comfortable lifting and moving big, awkward things
✅ Attention to detail – you spot scratches like a hawk
✅ You show up on time, ready to go – rain, shine, or “Monday”
✅ A head for measurements and a hand steady enough for tight tolerances
✅ You can follow instructions, communicate clearly, and don’t need micromanaging
✅ Know the difference between 1mm and 10mm (and why it matters)
Bonus Points If You Have:
⭐ Experience with AWS window & door systems
⭐ A Forklift Licence (LF) or interest in getting one
⭐ Experience working on or delivering to construction sites
⭐ Know how to handle fragile goods without turning them into jigsaw puzzles
⭐ Ability to wrap and prep frames like a pro (i.e. no scratches, no tears, no stress)
