FACTORY INTAKE QUALITY ASSURANCE

At ESG Drysdale we are recruiting for Factory Intake QA’s to join our new team. We are a supplier of fresh and prepared Brassicas to both UK retailers and food service providers. The role is based at our packing facility in the Scottish Borders.
We are looking for excellent communicators, flexible workers with enthusiasm for the food industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Examples of duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performing product quality checks during the Intake of raw materials including reporting issues to the QA Manager.
  • Supporting the Factory QA Supervisor to deliver improvement in your areas of responsibility and across the site.
  • Collaborate across teams with shift managers, production staff and other relevant departments to ensure positive food safety and quality.
  • Champion good manufacturing practices (GMP) and technical policies by advising staff on best practices.
  • Monitor and escalate any changes to quality or working practises to comply with the company specifications and procedures using the Factory Escalation Process.
  • Deputising where required for Factory QA operatives on the Finished product lines and maintaining a positive food safety culture.
  • Supporting the QA Manager, Technical Manager and Senior management during external visits and audits.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern from 6am-6pm you will be part of a fast paced and exciting team. Responsible for QA Intake, testing, monitoring and reporting on the quality of our raw materials. A key member of the team driving a quality first culture within the business.
