JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Factory Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the food production industry. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in completing production plans, fulfilling orders and ensuring the efficient cleaning of factory areas including production lines and areas while adhering to strict food safety standards. This position requires a strong commitment to quality and safety, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The role follows a fixed Monday to Friday pattern.

SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead a team, follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong understanding of cleaning principles and food safety regulations is essential.
  • Previous experience in food production or a similar environment is advantageous.
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment is preferable
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • An FLT counter balance is highly desirable. A 10% higher hourly rate is applicable to those applicants with existing valid licences.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
  • Ensure that orders are fulfilled and loaded as required.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and production processes and report any potential issues or areas for improvement including safety and food safety
  • Perform basic maintenance on machinery, utilising mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor problems.
  • Safely dismantle, hygienically clean and reassemble food production machinery in line with training, safety, food safety, factory and cleaning protocols
  • Hygienically clean other areas of the factory including equipment, food production areas and other areas as directed.
  • Adhere to chemical and detergent protocols and maintain compliance with COSHH regulations, especially regarding PPE and chemical use.
  • Ensure that all areas are prepared and ready for operation.
  • Other duties as might be required that are in line with your skills and capabilities
