SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, food production, or FMCG environment.
  • Proven leadership experience (supervisory or team lead role).
  • Strong understanding of workplace health & safety and quality standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a diverse team.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Factory Team Leader is responsible for supervising a production team, coordinating day-to-day factory operations, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and motivating staff to achieve performance goals. This role requires a balance of hands-on leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership & Supervision
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production workers to achieve daily targets.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Operations & Production
  • Oversee production processes to ensure output meets quality and efficiency standards.
  • Monitor machine operations, materials, and supply usage, escalating issues where needed.
  • Ensure daily production schedules are met or exceeded.
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Enforce strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
  • Conduct quality checks and address non-conformances.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and suggest process improvements for efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Work closely with management to implement operational enhancements.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
