SUMMARY

Prepares and delivers relevant course content using a variety of teaching methods and assessments that support student learning. Ensures that students achieve and demonstrate mastery of stated learning objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in hospitality (or related field) or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in hospitality from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, or other appropriate accreditation as determined by Johnson & Wales University
  • Five or more years of management/supervisory experience in field
  • Experience in food & beverage management, preferably executive chef, director, bar/wine manager or related positions
  • Ability to teach classes during daytime and/or evening hours
  • Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student population

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Earned doctorate (Ph.D./DBA) in hospitality or related field of study from a regionally accredited institution
