Description

Key Responsibilities 1. Teaching & Learning * Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence and related fields. * Develop and deliver courses such as: * Introduction to Artificial Intelligence * Machine Learning * Deep Learning * Natural Language Processing * Computer Vision * Data Mining and Analytics * Robotics and Intelligent Systems * Design course materials, syllabi, assessments, and learning outcomes aligned with accreditation standards. * Use modern teaching methodologies including project-based learning and blended/online learning. * Supervise undergraduate capstone projects and postgraduate theses. * Provide academic advising and mentoring to students. 2. Research & Scholarly Activities * Conduct high-quality research in AI and related domains. * Publish in peer-reviewed journals and reputable conferences. * Seek and secure external research funding and grants. * Collaborate with industry and research institutions. * Supervise graduate research students. * Contribute to research centers or AI labs within the institution. 3. Curriculum Development & Quality Assurance * Participate in curriculum design, review, and modernization. * Ensure alignment with national and international accreditation bodies. * Integrate ethical AI principles and responsible AI practices into curriculum. * Contribute to program accreditation documentation and quality assurance processes. 4. Industry Engagement & Innovation * Establish partnerships with AI industry stakeholders. * Support student internships and industry-based projects. * Promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and applied AI solutions. * Participate in conferences, seminars, and professional workshops. 5. Service & Administrative Duties * Participate in departmental and university committees. * Assist in student recruitment and outreach activities. * Contribute to strategic initiatives of the department and university. * Support academic events, workshops, and competitions (e.g., AI hackathons). Skills Technical Competencies * Proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, Java, C++). * Experience with AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras). * Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). * Experience with big data tools and AI deployment pipelines. * Understanding of AI ethics, governance, and data privacy regulations. Soft Skills * Strong communication and presentation skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. * Critical thinking and problem-solving ability. * Commitment to academic excellence and student success. Qualifications: * E: PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or closely related field (from an accredited university). * E: Strong background in AI theory and practical implementation Experience * E: Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education. * E: Record of research publications in recognized journals/conferences. * P: Postdoctoral experience. * P: Industry experience in AI applications. * P: Experience with funded research projects.
