University of Pittsburgh, Department of Psychiatry Position title: Part-time Professor of Psychiatry Position reports to the Chair of the Department Professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Conducts hypothesis-driven research on disorders of the aging brain (approaches can range from molecular to systems level, with studies conducted in model systems and/or human tissue, to brain imaging research with human participants). • Presents research and/or scholarly material and published abstracts. • Participates in the administration and governance of the institution, including active and productive participation in committees at various levels. • Participation in university activities, such as recruiting, faculty meetings, research events, etc. • Helping and encouraging the professional growth of junior faculty members and other colleagues. • Service to the profession of psychiatry and other appropriate discipline(s) at the state, national and international levels. • Consultative services to other health professionals, hospitals, institutions of higher education, and governmental agencies.
