Description
The Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is seeking a Research Assistant Professor with expertise in tuberculosis immunology. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in microbiology, immunology, bioengineering, or a related field, and have at least four years of experience working with tuberculosis, including non-human primate models and immunological approaches. Experience working in a Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory is required. The successful applicant will conduct independent research on the immune response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, mentor junior scientists, and collaborate closely with Dr. JoAnne Flynn and other members of the TB Research Group at Pitt, as well as external partners. This is a full-time, non-tenure stream position offering opportunities to work in a highly collaborative and well-supported research environment.
