Description
The Pandrea lab in the Department of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh is looking for a highly motivated individual with strong training in HIV/SIV pathogenetics. They will be expected to perform duties with a high degree of independence, initiative, and judgment. Incumbent will work directly with Dr. Ivona Pandrea, conducting innovative research in the field of HIV/SIV with a focus on mucosal immunology and metabolic abnormalities related to retroviral infections. Requirements: MD or PhD in Immunology, Pathology & Infectious Disease Has a record of published research; strong methodological background Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral; Self-motivated and able to work independently Demonstrate evidence of organizational skills and attention to detail, along with strong writing skills Participation in seminars, professional development opportunities, and data analysis. PI will provide feedback and performance evaluations to assist with progress.
