Department of Surgery Visiting Scholar The Department of Surgery, at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks a Visiting Scholar to work in the laboratory of Drs Edith Tzeng and Elizabeth Andraska. This is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working research scholar who is a highly self-motivated individual. Job Description: The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting high-quality clinical research, investigating, and working to improve surgical outcomes. The applicant will monitor regulatory procedures for ongoing work, coordinate with other members of the team, and lead their own lines of investigation. The Visiting Scholar will be responsible for designing and carrying out data cleaning, statistical analysis plans, record keeping, writing manuscripts, and preparing them for publication and presentation of findings at scientific meetings under the supervision of the PI. Requirements: Candidates should possess an MD in vascular surgery or a related field. We are looking for an individual who is also team-oriented and possesses excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills. They should have the ability to work collaboratively and be interested in working with individuals from many different backgrounds, including basic scientists and clinicians. Candidates should also have effective writing and interpersonal skills.
