Department of Surgery Visiting Scholar The Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery, at the University of Pittsburgh seeks a Visiting Scholar to work in cutting-edge research under the direction of Dr. Rakesh Sindhi. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to translational research with potential clinical impact. This is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working research scholar who is a highly self-motivated individual. Responsibilities will include conducting independent scientific research projects from inception to presentation, preparing and crafting various documentations of research results into manuscripts, proposals, grant applications, and presentations, training undergraduates and research technicians, and managing laboratory policies and coordinating project development in collaboration with other individuals. Additional responsibilities include assisting with laboratory upkeep, analyzing data, preparing publications, and mentoring junior lab members under the direction of Dr. Sindhi. Requirements: Candidates should possess an M.D./PhD degree. They should be able to independently do literature research, design, and conduct experiments, carry out data analysis, and report the results. Candidates should also have effective communication skills and evidence of effective writing and interpersonal skills. Interested individuals should submit a CV with contact information.
