Our client, a world leader in biotechnology, is looking for a “Failure analysis Engineer (electrical / PCBA)” based out of Milpitas, CA. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate: $65/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Sick leave, 401K Key Responsibilities Analyze, reverse engineer, diagnose, and troubleshoot defective PCBAs to support repair objectives. Develop detailed board repair plans, including technical approach, timelines, and dependencies. Troubleshoot PCBA issues with limited or no design documentation using critical thinking. Perform hands-on debugging using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and related tools. Work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring on-time delivery. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including junior and senior engineers. Communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Support occasional international travel as required. Qualifications Strong expertise in PCBA design analysis, reverse engineering, and board-level troubleshooting. Proven experience diagnosing and repairing complex electronic boards. Solid understanding of power supplies and electrical systems (preferred). Demonstrated perseverance in solving complex technical challenges. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Consistent track record of meeting deadlines.
