As we continue to grow, we are excited to welcome a new team member for the following position: Failure Analysis Engineer Role Purposes: Accurate and timely determination of failure root cause in product deviation so as to achieve long term P+F product quality Cooperate with R&D to forecast and investigate the defect or long-term improvement based on the history information Major Accountabilities: Perform failure analysis by assessing electrical functionality of product deviation (production testing rejects etc.) to determine defective and/or non-compliant components and parts Support the implementation of a rework process by creating documented instructions on how to identify defects and rework products Support the definition of the reporting methodology (e.g. first-pass-test-yield of products, PMM defective rate of components) for long term monitoring of product and component performances Take necessary proactive actions (resolution and/or escalation) to rein in potential deviation from norm or threshold Work closely with stakeholders (e.g. Production, Quality, Test-Engineering, R&D) for timely and accurate root cause determination to facilitate implementation of sustainable corrective and prevention actions Role Requirements: Bachelor’s degree Electronics and/or Automation Engineering; Intermediate English communication in both writing and verbal skills; Min. 2 years’ experience of failure analysis on printed circuit board assembly/ analysis of electronic circuit design to understand the schematic of the product; Analysis of cause & effect based on previous failures/ failure patterns; Experience in manufacturing setting in a process automation industry will be an added advantage; Experience in measurement equipment in terms of managing, maintenance, calibration will be an added advantage; Have soldering and rework skills for electronics circuit reparation; Good knowledge of hardware design; Are you excited about this opportunity?
