Our Barnstaple facility is located in North Devon. Founded in 1948, the site now employs approximately 140 employees and features the Aero Stanrew brand of electromagnetic components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring and electronic test equipment for safety critical applications in aerospace and defence, industrial and transportation industries.

TT Barnstaple are currently trialling a 4-day working week and during that time you can either opt in or out of the pilot. hours of work available are:
OPT IN - Monday to Thursday 7.15am to 5.30pm.
OPT OUT - Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm/Friday 8am to 1pm
Role Overview and Responsibilities:

CORE REQUIREMENTS

  • Sound understanding of the Aerospace Industry
  • Ability to read Engineering drawings, understanding Key Characteristics (KC), and Geometric tolerances with their interactions
  • Ability to internalise AS9100 and AS9102
  • Conducting internal audits to AS9100
  • Demonstrated organisational, planning and program skills with careful attention to detail.
  • Be a good Team Player.
  • Work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • A high standard of Maths and English.
  • A strong interest in mechanical/electronic engineering.
  • A formal qualification in Quality, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering
  • PPAP/Lean Manufacturing/CI qualification or relevant experience in application of lean tools and creations of improvement plans (six sigma)

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times, and ensure yourself and others in your working areas are safe and not exposed to significant risk.
  • Supporting the introduction of new parts and tools into the manufacturing environment.
  • Evaluation of the Production of Support documentation for products including Route Cards, Job Traveller, Control Plans and Build Standards.
  • Accurate and comprehensive understanding of GD&T as well as reconciliation of test data with tolerances .
