EDUCATION:

Must be enrolled as a York student.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous work experience may be considered. Demonstrated interest in student success and supporting fellow students. Practical experience coordinating the activities of others, preferably student volunteers. Public relations, event planning experience is an asset.

  • Ability to problem solve and work past potential communication barriers while demonstrating friendliness, patience, and approachability.
  • Ability to build rapport and apply active listening skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to the team and student volunteers - shows initiative, gives feedback, asks questions, and has a positive attitude.

  • Ability to collaborate and work with others to complete a shared goal.
  • Ability to communicate with others to explain and share information.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
