Description The Instructional Designer will play a key role in creating engaging, effective, and scalable training experiences for U.S. Hunger’s support staff, volunteers, and internal teams. This individual will design learning programs rooted in adult learning principles, aligned with organizational goals, and reflective of our core values: Impact-Focused, Better Together, Pioneering & Authentic. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and revise digital and in-person training materials, including slide decks, facilitator guides, SOPs, eLearning modules, and video scripts. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), to gather accurate, relevant content. Create engaging learning experiences that support onboarding, compliance, leadership development, and hands-on roles like those found in Hunger Projects. Align all materials with internal training documents Use tools such as Camtasia, Canva, Articulate, and PowerPoint to build content. Develop assessments, knowledge checks, and post-training feedback tools to evaluate learning outcomes. Support the integration of training into platforms like Pryor Learning and any future LMS tools. Requirements SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Experience in instructional design or adult learning. Familiarity with training tools and software (e.g., Camtasia, Canva, Google Workspace, LMS platforms). Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally. Passion for mission-driven work and equity in training access.
