POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sustainability Venture Fund is a $150 million venture capital fund investing in Canadian early stage (Seed to Series B) technology businesses that contribute to the transition to a more sustainable economy. Broad areas of focus include water, energy, and food. More specifically, this includes sustainable cities and communities (mobility, logistics, construction and the built environment, water use and treatment), responsible production and consumption (food waste, circular economy, recycling, sustainable materials), and clean and affordable energy (grid technologies, energy production, environmental remediation).
Co-op Intern Investment Students join one of our teams for a work term during undergraduate or graduate studies, to operate parts of the process of evaluating potential deals and of monitoring our current portfolio. In this role, you will network, research, and perform analysis for prospective and current investments, as well as help with back-office and middle-office activities. These will cover strategic topics such as markets, industries, ecosystems, and competition, as well as operational ones, such as financials, management, and products. You are expected to leverage sharp analytic skills and be able to work alongside experts on a variety of market and industrial subjects.
