JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of services that help provide families with support to help their children become school ready. This includes overseeing day-to-day operations and assisting with supervision of staff.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

• Must meet all State and Federal requirements for the position according to Head Start Performance Standards
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Education or related field
• At least one year of experience working in social services or related field · Must be at least 21 years of age
• OR
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• All hires must meet the Early Childhood physical examination requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Current and former parents or guardians of children served by the Head Start program must receive preference for employment in Head Start vacancies for which they apply.
