Description:
Assure the safety of the Aquatic Center customers in and around the facility, including water slide operations, under the supervision of Head Staff. All training provided.
- Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in serving the public and within all aspects of the work environment
- Primary responsibilities are safety and public relations
- Control water slide traffic and usage
- Operate the admissions table
- Maintain a safe environment in and around the aquatic facility
- Prevent unnecessary accidents by employing preventative measures
- Enforce all facility rules and policies effectively and equally
- Refer customer service issues to the Manager on duty
- Attend and participate in mandatory meetings and in-service trainings
- Provide positive, courteous, and helpful service to guests and fellow staff
- Perform cleaning/sanitizing of restrooms and facility as well as trash removal
- Perform facility equipment inspections
- Must be able to work various shifts 7 days a week (including weekends/holidays)
- Complete other duties as assigned

The East Lansing Family Aquatic Center (ELFAC), located at 6400 Abbot Road, is an interactive outdoor water facility that provides a safe, family-oriented aquatic experience to patrons.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Age 16 years or older
- Current or ability to obtain Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications (May class)
- Ability to work and communicate positively with all ages
- Available to work a minimum of 25 hours per week
- Must be able to work various shifts 7 days a week (including weekends/holidays)
