Location: The Groves Family Assessment Centre (Centres in Sutton and Croydon)
Hours: 40 hours/week shift across 5 days on a 7-day Rota (including 2 weekends per month)
Salary: £25,272 to £30,784

JOB PURPOSE

The Family Assessment Night Assessor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children within the Family Assessment Centre. This position involves closely monitoring families during night shifts, supporting parents, and documenting interactions to assess parental capabilities and child welfare.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining observations of families in placement throughout the night to ensure the safety and well-being of the children.
• Identifying and responding to any safeguarding concerns, recording and passing them on to the relevant manager.
• Keeping clear, detailed, and accurate electronic recordings.
• Being a positive role model.
• Advising, supporting, and teaching parents as necessary.
