FAMILY CONNECTIONS COORDINATOR

STATUS: Temporary Part-time (Hired until December 31,2026 with conversation following about needs and next steps)

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Epworth UMC offers three worship services on Sunday mornings. Preschool – early elementary-aged children are often the first place for new families to get a glimpse of the ministries we offer for children and therefore we must offer a safe and welcoming place to introduce them to a basic understanding of Jesus Christ.
OVERVIEW: As the Preschool/Early Elementary Coordinator, you provide a welcoming, competent, and Spirit-led presence by inspiring children, volunteers, and parents to live faithfully and joyfully into the calling of ministry to children. Coordinates all tasks necessary for the effective promotion and implementation of a thriving ministry to children ages 3 years old through 3rd grade.
REPORTING TO: Pastor or Coordinator of Family Discipleship
LOCATION OF WORK: Epworth United Methodist Church – Gaithersburg, MD – www.epworthunited.org
COMPENSATION: Salaried $10,000-12,000/annual depending on experience
