QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Current Police Check (renewed annually).
  • Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training.
  • Current CPR certification.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • At least 1 year of experience in Early Childhood Education and Care.
  • Strong understanding of the National Law & Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS) and Early Years Learning Framework(EYLF), AND My Time Our Place (MTOP)
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and early childhood management software.
  • Skilled in supporting and mentoring educators in a collaborative way.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and engage with the wider community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a passionate and organised Family Day Care Coordinator to join our team. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of our Family Day Care service, ensuring compliance with the Education and Care National Law and Regulations, and supporting educators to deliver safe, high-quality care and education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the service operates in line with the Education and Care National Law and Regulations.
  • Conduct regular educator visits to monitor compliance with regulations, service policies, and safety standards.
  • Provide guidance, resources, and professional support to educators in their day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including Working with Children Checks (Blue Card), insurance, First Aid/CPR, Police Checks, and authorisation documents.
  • Build and maintain strong, open communication with educators and families to foster positive and collaborative relationships.
  • Support educators in meeting the National Quality Standards (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and My Time Our Place (MTOP).
