West Berkshire Council is seeking an experienced and dedicated Family Hub Manager to lead our Family Hub in Newbury, reporting to the Interim Head of Early Years. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the delivery of integrated services and support for families, ensuring their needs are met and enabling them to thrive.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Extensive experience in managing and delivering services to children and families, ideally within a local authority or similar setting
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent partnership working skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • In-depth knowledge of the needs and challenges faced by families, and how to address them through appropriate interventions
  • Experience of commissioning services and working with external providers
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple demands and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writte

Responsibilities

As the Family Hub Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the day-to-day operation and management of the Family Hub, ensuring high-quality service delivery
  • Managing a team of dedicated professionals, providing support, supervision, and guidance to ensure effective working
  • Commissioning and coordinating the delivery of services from third party providers to meet the identified needs of families
  • Working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure integrated service delivery and information sharing
  • Overseeing the assessment and review process for individual family support packages
  • Monitoring and evaluating the impact of services, providing reports and updates to senior management
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines
