ABOUT THE POST:

Families Information Service is looking for a Family Involvement and Information Officer to provide information to families with children.
You will act as first point of contact for our customers based in our Family Hubs at Barnsley Market location. This involves face to face information sharing and signposting, resolving enquiries by phone, email, social media in line with agreed standards and procedures.
The post also involves sourcing information, writing content for, updating and promoting the service webpage known as the Virtual Family Hub and service social media channels, ensuring that information is factually correct through utilising a range of information sources and systems.
Maintaining and promoting the Virtual Family Hub website includes data input, building pages as well as liaising and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including managers, employees, members of the public, ensuring information and communication links are maintained.

Responsibilities

Pensions Regulations have provisions to reduce pension payments in certain circumstances of those who return to work within local government service. If you are in receipt of a pension upon commencing employment with the authority, this may affect your pension entitlements and you should therefore seek advice from the relevant Pensions Authority.
