Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join a dynamic and fast-paced law firm. This role requires expertise in litigation, discovery, trial preparation, and case management, as well as proficiency in managing client databases and providing administrative support. You will play a critical role in supporting attorneys in family law cases and ensuring efficient case workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist attorneys with litigation processes, including drafting, filing, and responding to discovery requests.
  • Manage case files, organize trial exhibits, and prepare materials for court proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review.
  • Handle case management tasks, including maintaining deadlines and schedules for hearings, depositions, and other case-related events.
  • Maintain and update client records using Clio or similar case management software.
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, and legal documents related to family law matters such as custody, divorce, support, and property division.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progress.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling billing-related tasks.
