FAMILY LAW LAWYER ($107K-TO-$119K)

Location: Downtown Toronto (steps from Union Station) {Fully Remote Option}
E-LAW PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION is a rapidly growing downtown Toronto law firm. We are currently seeking an associate family law lawyer to join our expanding family practice.
This is an ideal position for a candidate with at least one full year experience working as a family law lawyer in an Ontario family law firm. You will be joining a rapidly growing, very caring family law practice and will be involved in all aspects of our family law matters, including client contact, court appearances, research, file management and reviews. You will be supported by our File Screening Team, your own dedicated Family Law Legal Administrative Assistant as well as our trained and efficient legal office administrative team.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience delivering high quality and caring family law legal services
· Excellent analytical, oral and written communication and drafting skills
· Experience with family law court proceedings and motions
· Understanding of JDR
· At least one full year working as a family law lawyer in an Ontario Family Law firm
· L1 Licence in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
· Driver’s Licence and your own vehicle (Parking/Mileage reimbursed)

· Draft and review correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and hearing documents
· Conduct and review legal research on family law matters
· Meet directly and remotely with clients and other lawyers
· Attend court in-person or remotely as required
· Provide legal advice on matters such as divorce, parenting, child support, spousal support, family asset splits, and property settlements
· Create family law contracts such as separation, prenuptial and cohabitation agreements customized to each client’s individual circumstances

Salary: $107,603-$119,514 per annum depending upon experience
