TYPE: FULL-TIME, PERMANENT

Are you a Family Law Solicitor or CILEX looking for a high-quality, varied caseload and the chance to take your career to the next level? We’re working with a well-established, people-focused law firm in the Thames Valley that is seeking a motivated family lawyer to join their growing team.
The Opportunity:
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Family Law Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their welcoming and collaborative Divorce & Family Law department. The successful candidate will enjoy a broad range of private family work and be encouraged to develop their specialism and career in a supportive, modern working environment.
You’ll be managing your own caseload from start to finish and will have the opportunity to work on complex and high-value matters across divorce, financial remedy, and children-related proceedings. There is a strong team culture, and your contribution to the department’s continued success will be valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running your own caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, separation, finances, and Children Act proceedings
  • Advising clients from initial instruction through to resolution with a focus on service and empathy
  • Staying up to date with developments in family law and best practices
  • Collaborating with colleagues to support departmental growth and client relationships
  • Contributing to team discussions and business development efforts

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with at least 2 years’ PQE in private family law
  • Confident managing a caseload independently
  • Excellent communication, client care, and organisational skills
  • A collaborative mindset and positive attitude
  • Detail-oriented with strong technical knowledge
  • A genuine interest in growing your expertise and career in family law

What’s On Offer:

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • A role with real progression potential and access to complex family law work
  • Flexible working, including hybrid options via a secure cloud-based platform
  • A friendly, open culture where staff contributions are valued

BENEFITS INCLUDE:

  • Health Cash Plan
  • 31–36 days annual leave (including bank holidays), with the option to switch public holidays
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Paid sick leave allowance
  • Flexitime and/or nonstandard working hours
  • Support for professional training
  • Free conveyancing for personal home moves
  • £45 monthly staff voucher scheme or paid gym membership
  • Fully funded annual summer and Christmas parties
  • Additional day off each year for charity work
This role is based at the firm’s Lower Earley office, with occasional travel to other nearby locations as needed.
If you’re looking for a fresh opportunity where your work makes a real impact — and you want to join a team that values development, collaboration, and community — we’d love to hear from you.
