Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Family Learning Center, located within the East Community Center, and ensuring the space is welcoming, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the families it serves. The Family Learning Center will provide proactive, relationship-based early learning experiences that help close these gaps before students even enter kindergarten. By leveraging district and community assets, we want to give every student the opportunity to start school on more equal footing. Ultimately, we want all students to engage fully with the LPS curriculum, stay on grade level, and feel confident in their learning-maximizing their choices and opportunities as they progress through our system.

Essential Duties:

  • Establish and manage the weekly program schedule, including coordinating space usage, securing facilitators, and ensuring smooth transitions between sessions and events.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for families, instructors, volunteers, and community partners – facilitating clear, culturally responsible and multilingual communication.
  • Acting as a liaison with Littleton Public Schools, ensuring alignment with district goals, compliance with safety and reporting procedures, and strong connections to district resources and supports.
  • Tracking attendance, engagement, and program participation data to inform continuous improvement and support grant reporting and long-term sustainability planning
  • Supporting outreach and engagement efforts, including helping to welcome new families, organize events, and maintain a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
  • Providing logistical and administrative support for workshops, family engagement activities, and special events.
  • Collaborating with other early childhood and family-serving staff to ensure programming is developmentally appropriate, culturally relevant, and accessible.
  • Coordinate the provision of culturally inclusive, language-rich, play-based experiences designed to promote early language and literacy development, social-emotional learning and peer interaction, caregiver knowledge, confidence, and engagement.
  • Track progress of the Center utilizing assessments such as the Teaching Strategies GOLD to evaluate growth and alignment with LPS strategic goals.

Education Certification:
