St. Luke’s is also a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence. The Hiawatha clinic location provides care to all ages, with practitioners specializing in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine. The clinic provides other ancillary services, as full lab service onsite, and physical therapy. Family Medicine team exists of 1 physician and 1 Advanced Practitioner Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access 24/7 hospitalist program is responsible for adult and pediatric inpatients Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination Responsibilities Full-Time position; 36 Patient contact hours weekly; No nights or weekends Must be able to care fo all ages, pediatrics to geriatrics Managing your own patient population, with the general supervision provided by Physician Exercises independent judgements in the assessment, coordination, management and evaluation of certain medical processes and procedures, under the guidelines of the scope of practice and medical protocols. Coordinating care of patients with other specialties Specialty Skills: minor procedures (i.e.: skin excisions, joint injections, lacerations) No inpatient call coverage - Hospitalist Program is fully utilized Outpatient call is shared; Triaged first through the MyNurse call system - very light Qualifications Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Board Certified Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice Eligible to work in the United States We offer Initial 2-year salary guarantee with ability to exceed on an innovative compensation program Attractive incentive package A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in. Responsibilities
The Advanced Practitioner will manage their own patient population with general supervision from a physician, providing care to patients of all ages. Responsibilities include coordinating care with other specialties and performing minor procedures as needed.
