Parkdale focuses on treating professionals across the United States in highly accountable industries who struggle with addiction. Our facility utilizes innovative programs and solutions that meet those struggling with substance use disorder. We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team! Responsibilities * Patient history/physical examination, monitoring of patients' treatment under direct supervision of the Medical Director * Know and abide by the general provisions of 42 CFR Part 2, “Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patient Records”; and 45 CFR “Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act”.   * Perform history and physicals on new patients admitted to the facility * Document weekly visits with patients for medical progress review * Write orders for laboratory work and medication under the direct supervision of the physician * Take screening call with direct backup by the supervising physician * Participate in clinical staffing of patients * Advise patients on medication side effects and proper usage * Document First Dose dispensation and medication reconciliation with patients * In a life-threatening emergency situation, when the supervising physician is not present, the nurse practitioner may initiate appropriate evaluation and treatment * Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, clients and prospective clients * Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner Qualifications * Nurse Practitioner certification from an accredited college/university  * Current Registered Nurse state license required  * Good interpersonal and communication skills  * Must have legible handwriting  * Continuing education as required for state licensure/certification as recommended by state or national professional association  * A minimum of one year in chemical dependency treatment preferred  * Proof of current malpractice insurance coverage with up to $1 million per occurrence * Must be able to stand continuously in increments of 45 minutes to 1 hour * Must be able to physically assist a disoriented or intoxicated patient of average weight of 140-170 lbs from the floor to a chair or bed We’re officially a Great Place to Work®!
