This role blends traditional corporate accounting responsibilities with executive and family office–related financial support, including exposure to investment entities, trusts, and holding companies. The position requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and the ability to operate comfortably in a confidential, relationship-driven environment. This role is well-suited for an accountant who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable, and who enjoys variety in their work. The position offers meaningful exposure to leadership, a broad range of accounting activities, and the opportunity to take on increased responsibility over time. Key Responsibilities Family Office, Investment & Executive Financial Support · Assist with processing and tracking personal bills, payments, and expenses related to executive, family office, trust, and investment-related matters · Maintain organized records and supporting documentation for family office, trust, and investment entity financial activity · Track executive, family, and investment-related expenses and assist with monthly GST trust reimbursement and reporting · Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes for Trust companies and Mark’s personal financials, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting · Process biweekly payroll for Mark’s domestic employees, including monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll, benefits, and workers compensation filings, oversight, and audits · Assist with administrative and financial support related to holding companies and investment vehicles, as directed · Serve as a trusted point of contact for routine financial or logistical requests · Handle sensitive personal, investment, and financial information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment Corporate Accounting Responsibilities · Support the Controller with accounting activities across multiple operating companies, holding companies, and investment entities · Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes for EEA, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting · Process biweekly payroll for EEA, including monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll, benefits, and workers compensation filings, oversight, and audits · Support quarterly corporate reporting, including preparation of monthly Cash Balances report, · Prepare owner distributions and capital activity, including tracking, documentation, coordination of payments, and investor accounting and reporting · Support cash management activities across entities, including monitoring balances, tracking cash movements, and assisting with cash-related reporting · Provide budget support, including preparation of supporting schedules, tracking actuals vs. budget, and variance explanations · Assist with parent company financial preparation and reporting, including consolidation support and intercompany activity · Process accounts payable and support assigned accounting projects · Prepare EEA intercompany reconciliations and allocations, including credit cards and expenses, and regularly audit intercompany allocations · Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with established policies, internal controls, and governance requirements · Coordinate with payroll and HR to support reporting, reimbursements, and required documentation · Provide general accounting and administrative support to ensure processes remain organized and efficient, including quarterly corporate file audits and administration Qualifications & Experience · 3–7+ years of progressive accounting experience; family office, private equity–backed, investment, trust, or multi-entity environment experience strongly preferred · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience · Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, cash management, and expense processing · Familiarity with accounting for holding companies, trusts, or investment entities a plus · Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail · Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion · Comfortable interacting with executives and family members in a professional, high-trust environment · Reliable, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines · Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to learn accounting and expense management systems · NetSuite experience preferred but not required Why Join EEA Companies Privately held organization with a collaborative, close-knit team High level of trust and autonomy Direct exposure to leadership and meaningful responsibility Opportunity to grow alongside a strong finance leader Equal Opportunity Employer EEA Companies is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
