We are looking for an experienced family office accountant for our San Francisco Bay Area, CA office with 2+ years of experience who understands the importance of professionalism, technical excellence, and commitment to the highest industry standards. Work Environment: Dynamic, stimulating, and exciting with constant interaction Fast-paced and requires a high degree of urgency in completing tasks and assignments Rewarding and challenging with varied work activities and exposure to different clients and services Embraces and encourages ongoing change and improvement and empowers staff at all levels to provide feedback and to personally make changes Provides opportunities to work with concepts and ideas as well as technical tasks such as investigation, analysis, and problem solving Position Responsibilities: Contribute to decision making regarding team operational policies and procedures Help to define workflows, applying best practices and process efficiencies Assist in training of team members on processes and monitoring client deliverables Interface directly with clients to deliver an outstanding client experience Perform accounting, analytical, & financial reporting duties; ensure client reporting is prepared and completed timely and accurately Perform general ledger accounting for clients and their entities Prepare month-end bank reconciliations and financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements Perform cash management for clients’ bank accounts Process accounts payable for clients and their entities Prepare annual 1099’s for clients’ vendors, as applicable Requirements We are looking for candidates with: 2+ years of accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required Fundamental knowledge of general accounting rules and procedures, including experience with financial reporting Working knowledge of cash basis vs. GAAP Passion for technology and a desire to use technology to improve operations Possess strong analytical skills required in reviewing, researching and resolving issues surrounding accounting and financial matters
